Realization

He who carries out his activities without attachment, attributing the agency of the actions to Prakriti (Nature) is untouched by them as a lotus leaf is unaffected by water.

-Srimad Bhagavad Gita

Realization

The senses are subtle and powerful. The mind is higher than the senses and the intellect is higher than the mind, and what is higher than the intellect is the Self. Realizing thus the Self by the control of the senses and the purification of the intellect, annihilate this formidable foe, Desire.

-Srimad Bhagavad Gita

Realization

Raja Yoga is linking oneself with God through mental concentration. God realization can be attained through Bakthi (Devotion) and Gyan (Knowledge) as well. All paths when pursued with sincerity lead to the Supreme.

-Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa

Realization

Atman(Soul)
Atman is the ruler of the body and is internal; the body is the ruled and is external.Yet people see these two as one ! What else can be called ignorance but this? Atman is all consciousness and holy; the body is all flesh and impure. Yet people see these two as one! What else can be called ignorance but this?

-Sri Sankaracharya

Realization

Scientists have discovered that matter is nothing but a manifestation of cosmic energy. So there exists a single cosmic energy or force which is infinite in capacity and takes on the form of matter under certain conditions. Our holy scriptures( Vedas) also make the same assertion.
-Sri Chandrasekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji (Jagadguru)

Realization

In this path (yoga action) there is no danger of "unfinished business", nor are there latent within it the opposite, cancelling effects of duality. Even a little practice of this religion will free one from the dire fears and colossal sufferings (which are inherent in the unceasing cycles of death and rebirth)

Srimad Bhagavad Gita

Realization

To do one's own duty (realization of God), even unsuccessfully,is better than to do someone else's duty successfully. It is better to die while trying to accomplish one's own duty than to settle another's duty. Follow a path of realization that you are convinced with and your inner voice is telling you. This will however be filled with more danger and uncertainity.

Realization

Though you say "He has retreated from the world at the wrong time " life is so fragile there is no wrong time for religious retreat.
